I made up the word "techifying" but I kinda dig it, ya know? Last night I was on a Google Meet meeting for the non-profit that I run and I was like, "I'm going to record this so I can get the transcript and make notes with ChatGPT", and one of the ladies was like, "Girl, we need you to come to [her work] and whip our systems into place." Honestly, systematizing and techifying are some of my favorite things - like who wants to re-watch an entire grainy video call, when you can just grab the meeting notes a robot created? Or who wants to spend time editing all of the silence out of a video when Ai and tech can just do it for you? Honestly, there's a new feature in my editing software, Davinci Resolve, that let's me use AI to cut out all of the silent parts of my video before I start edit - CHEF'S KISSSSS. Let me tell you a few of my favorite ways to techify and make my life/business easier, and I'm gonna start with the sponsor of this Newsletter, Omada.ai I actually don't take a ton of newsletter sponsors because I like to keep this space nice and awesome, but when someone reaches out that I think you NEED to know about, it's a no-brainer. So, here's the deal with Omada.ai, it is a LITERAL AI Marketing assistant that can handle everything:
Like, yeah, creating your social graphics and videos is freakin' awesome, but CUSTOMER CHAT and emails?!? I don't think there's another software that does that! Let me tell you, we have a local social media marketing agency where we run tons of social accounts and we WILL be incorporating Omada to help us with our workflow. Omada takes 2 minutes to set-up, literally, and then you're off the races with your own AI marketing assistant - I cannot, that's super freakin' cool. Oh, and Omada gave me a special discount code, "JESSICA", just for you. So, try 'er out, get a discount (actually, you can even try it for free for 14 days PLUS the discount), tell me what you think! Ok, now, onto the list of other ways I'm techifying and making things 10x easier on myself, ha. 📝 I just started using an app called Obsidian , it's completely free and I haven't quite mastered it yet, but basically it is a note-taking app that webs things together and makes things really easy to find. You can definitely watch some YouTube videos on it that explain it better than I am, but my plan with it is to use it for my 2nd channel/Substack when I go on deep-dives to keep all of my notes REALLY organized and accessible and also pull out themes that I can't just do on a Google doc. 💛 let's go back to my original example of my Google meet meeting, this may sound a little bit like it's a lot of work, but it legit takes seconds and I'm SURE there's an all-in-one tool that would do this but since this takes 2 seconds and I am not having to pay for another tool, this is what I do. I record our Google Meet meeting, feed it through Descript to get the transcript, then take the transcript from there and paste it into ChatGPT and have it create notes for the meeting. Honestly, it saves so much time! 🔥 Shortcuts on my phone! I have started really diving into shortcuts on my iPhone, so when I do a certain thing, other things happen, and it has really upgraded my productivity. Although, I'll admit, my favorite one is that I set up my husband's phone (without him knowing) to play Lightning McQueen saying, "I am speed!", everytime his phone connects to Carplay. 😎 Canva Ai! I actually have a video coming about this (hopefully today) on my YouTube channel, but I created an interactive quiz that feeds into my email marketing system in less than 15 minutes the other day and I'm AMAZED. ☎️ Another iPhone one? I schedule texts like a mad-woman. The fact that after a late meeting, I have something I want to mention to someone but I want to wait until the next business day so I can go ahead and write the text and schedule it? Yes please! My sister has a strict "no texts before 9am" rule because she's a worry wart and she always thinks something's wrong, so if I think of something I need to tell her earlier in the morning, I'll just schedule it. I mean, do you remember when we had to press the 7 key 4 times just to get the letter "s" and now we can schedule full-ass texts? It's a wild wild world, ha. I will probably hit send and think of the most life-changing way I techify things, but hey, that sounds like it could be a whole YouTube video, so if I do, I'll share it another time. Here's the techifying and systematizing our lives and businesses 🥂 Cheers! |

To quote Lorelei Gilmore, that is. (Name that episode and you get a digital cookie...it's chocolate chip) Ok, so I wanna share a major revelation I had this week 'cause god knows I don't need to leave it in my brain and my brain alone to collect dust, ha. As creators, as business owners - we are constantly trying to fit ourselves into the "success" formula and we're constantly TRYING SO HARD to make things happen. Like, "Ok, I have seen ____ do X so I'm going to do X and then I'll go viral"...
Okay, you got me, I actually made that up. But really, my goal for 2024? Growth! Growth in all the things. It's been a hot minute since we've sent an email your way, but I wanted to take a moment to recap a couple of things. It's a whole new year. So I've been thinking a lot about my own goals for my business and beyond and what I want to make happen this year! You may have noticed that I've ramped up the YouTube videos, I've got weekly podcast episodes for you to enjoy, weekly blog posts and...
TikTok has been a hot topic this year due to potential bans, privacy concerns, etc. But at the end of the day, TikTok is still an extremely popular app whether you're using it to recreate TikTok dances, content marketing or something in between. It's estimated that TikTok has 50 million daily users, just in the United States. So let's talk a little bit about how to grow on TikTok and why you should consider it! TikTok is still popular and presents a great opportunity for individuals and...
